Jon Beard Roy Gold Bill Heim Lloyd Morrison Jack Rosenkoetter |
Jon Beard, Roy Gold, Bill Heim, Ron Kittle, Lloyd Morrison and Jack Rosenkoetter conducted a bio survey and photography of H’Doubler Cave (pronounced doh’-bler) of Christian County. The cave is about 1,500-2,000 feet long, developed in the somewhat cherty upper Pierson limestone. Two bristly cave crayfish were seen as well as one unidentified surface species specimen several hundred feet into the cave. Three cave salamanders, two big brown bats, a rove beetle and dozens of eastern pipistrelles were also seen.
